I grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota in a large family. Family has always been a huge part of everything I do in life. With my Lebanese/Austrian heritage I gained an appreciation for the ethnic foods from my family’s rich heritage. I love to cook for family and friends and have large gatherings as often as I can. I am a family person with a lot of kids, grandkids, and friends I consider like family as well. I started drawing at an incredibly early age. Gaining recognition from my teachers as young as 8 years old for my artwork. Over the years I have done freehand artwork, and I have always had an appreciation for design. At the age of eighteen, I started in the prefabricated truss business and quickly became a manager at an early age with 165 employees, I soon moved into the engineering side of the business in 1995. I have managed entire design teams across the United States. In 2003 I made a promise to my oldest son to buy him a car for graduation. This was the inspiration that started Homestead Drafting and Design Services LLC. I continued to work full time until 2021 as a truss engineering manager and ran the new drafting business. In 2021 I decided to make Homestead Drafting my primary business and keep my engineering license for truss design and sales. Every new job is exciting and offers new challenges and inspiration. One of my favorite quotes I tell my customers is "I don't do ugly; it costs the same amount of money to build an ugly house as it does to build a dream home". So, I do not do ugly.
